Jo Brown

Jo started to journal because she wanted to record the things she was discovering, as she found them, because nature is one of the most important things in her life. It’s consistent, it’s ubiquitous, it never lets her down, and it’s all free. The nature journal is an illustrated memory of her discoveries in the order she finds them. Everything Jo has drawn in her journal was here long before we were and will be here long after we’ve all gone. Jo believes things of such magnitude deserve respect and understanding, they deserve to be remembered. Many of the pages depict things that she has found in her own garden: the nature in her journal is nature that anyone can find. All that’s required is a little patience and quiet observation.
